Acting Our Age
a Co- production
Between Yael Flexer (UK)& Galit Liss (Israel)
The project started before covid, then the whole world went into lockdown and the project quietly waited on the side and now here we are…
Acting Our Age has grown organically through ongoing conversations and a shared interest in the ageing body in performance. It is a co-production choreographed by Yael Flexer & Galit Liss with an intergenerational international cast of performers aged 26 to 76.

Premiere shows : 28-29.12.2017 and 15.1.2018 at the Susan Dellal Center
Acting Our Age is interested in performers’ relationship to dance, the stage and performance at different stages of their lives. It re-visits performers’ past works, drawing on the body as a living archive, at once personal and collective. At times on-stage performers question or refuse to ‘act their age’ while other moments celebrate the ageing body and its embodied sensitivity in line with Galit and Yael’s other works.
